What is Forbidden Flower Garden

General Info

Forbidden Flower Garden, or FFG, is my second and one of the earliest albums. It tells a story about a long, dangerous, and unknown journey. This journey is to find something sacred, something divine; the Forbidden Flower Garden.

The most unusual thing about this journey is its deep underground destination. This means fewer people, settlements, resources, and familiar places will exist. The Forbidden Flower Garden is somewhere deep inside the abyss, this big crater.

And we are in Made In Abyss rules, climbing up is way harder than going down. Also, with each layer, you will most likely be lost or have insufficient supplies to turn back. Therefore, when you are at the bottom of this passage of depth, most certainly there will be no coming back.

So, we must think. Is this "Forbidden Flower Garden" really worth the trouble? Does this adventure justify dedicating everything and leaving everything behind? How can someone be crazy enough to gaze into all of the darkness and uncertainty of the abyss and leave all their comfort and achievements behind?

Well, this whole album is based on those thoughts. It is quite a personal project that I started during the COVID lockdowns. It is clear that I got impressed and idolised Kevin Penkin while affected by Made In Abyss.
